About Me:

I am a multimedia journalist and storyteller. I’m passionate about new technology and how it enhances reporting. I’m currently working with Gannett in Washington D.C. as part of their Talent Development Program in the U.S. community publishing division. Before the program, I freelanced with CNN.com (ranked No. 1 among all news and information sites in several key metrics) in the multimedia/interactive storytelling department. I produced slideshows, interactives, maps, and galleries.  Prior to working as a producer, I interned in the CNN Newsroom helping shows integrate web elements such as blog comments and iReports with daily news programming. Before moving to Atlanta I worked for a webcasting and online communications company where I did Flash and Web site branding for clients ranging from small production companies to Fortune 100 corporations. I have my M.S. in multimedia journalism and my bachelors in mass communications with a concentration in broadcast production.

In addition to journalism my passion lies in music, traveling, cooking, and acquiring too many shoes. I’ve lived in three different cities: Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Richmond.
